What is a clipboard and how do you get to it? I'm not good with computers as you can tell.

The clip board is part of the system.
[Example:] Press reply highlight "Schwippy Forums" press ctrl+c (or right click on the highlighted text and click copy) go to the post box and press ctrl+v (or right click in the box and press paste) You have now just used the clipboard You have now just copied and pasted [/Example] You can also cut the text of some things (it makes it go to the clip board and removes if from where you "cutted" it. [Example] Go to the post window Highlight something in your post Press ctrl+x (or right click and press cut) Now press enter a couple of times (to go some where else in the post window) Press ctrl+v (ctrl+v pastes any text on the clip board)(or right click and press paste) [/Example]

lol.... yeah, he gave a pretty acurate description of how to work it.........
think of the clipboard as just a part of your computer that you dont see, but its always there........ when you COPY something, wether it be text, a file, a picture, or whatever, it puts it on the clipboard so you can move around in your computer without having the stuff you just copied get lost. Now, when you PASTE, basically it just takes whatever is on the clipboard and spits it out to wherever you are pasting it to. See the above post on how to copy and paste, but thats basically how the clipboard works...... its not really anything you SEE, rather a definition of something inside your computer

I see it. I have Windows 3.1 (I really do). Also with Office XP they step back towards seeing the clip board.
Also the clip board does not "spit" it out but instead copies it (You can use the same thing unlimited times in unlimited spots as long as you don't copy something new (except for in Office XP where you can select one of the older things you copied). EDIT: Bad grammer

I knew what a clipboard was since I had the old Macs where it had the program "clipboard" and when you opened it, it showed everything you had there (from what you copied-pasted).

Not XP... Office XP. It may only work if you copy/cut/paste in Office though.
